The Lello Musso Pola 5030 is a professional-grade ice cream maker designed for those who need more power, speed, and capacity than a standard home unit. Made in Italy with full stainless steel construction, it features a 2-quart bowl and a high-efficiency compressor that freezes faster than the 4080 model. Ideal for frequent use, entertaining, or small-scale commercial production, the 5030 delivers consistently smooth, dense ice cream, gelato, and sorbet with no need to prefreeze any parts. Its durable build and simple controls make it a reliable choice for anyone serious about frozen desserts.
The Pola 5030 can make up to 2 quarts of ice cream or gelato in a single batch, making it ideal for families, dinner parties, or small-scale production.
Thanks to its more powerful compressor, the 5030 freezes batches faster than the 4080, typically in 15 to 25 minutes, which allows for quicker turnaround and better texture.
The housing, bowl, and mixing paddle are all made from stainless steel, providing durability, hygiene, and excellent cold retention.
No prefreezing required. The machine’s internal compressor chills and churns the mixture automatically, making the process seamless and consistent.
Two switches (mix and freeze) keep the interface straightforward and reliable. No digital screens or complicated settings to manage.
With its stronger motor and cooling system, the 5030 handles back-to-back batches easily — perfect for entertaining or serving multiple flavors.
1. Pour your chilled mixture into the stainless steel bowl
2. Flip on the mix and freeze switches
3. In 15–25 minutes, enjoy smooth, dense ice cream or gelato
As someone who works in a boutique bakery, I’ve tried many machines, but the Pola 5030 is in a league of its own. The texture it produces is unbelievably smooth, and it can handle multiple batches in a row without losing performance. It’s reliable, fast, and built like a tank. Worth every penny.

I use the 5030 in my café to offer fresh ice cream every morning. It’s easy to clean, runs consistently, and never overheats. Customers always comment on how rich and creamy our flavors are — and that’s mostly thanks to this machine.

Small Café Owner
I recommend the Musso Pola 5030 to all my students who want to learn serious frozen dessert techniques. It’s hands-on enough for teaching, but powerful enough to feel professional. The all-metal construction is also a big plus for hygiene and durability.

The Pola 5030 is a commercial-grade ice cream maker designed to make fresh ice cream, sorbet, and gelato at home or in small food businesses. It churns and freezes your mixture at the same time, delivering smooth, dense frozen desserts without prefreezing the bowl.
No, the bowl is fixed in place. You’ll need to clean it in place with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or soaking the unit, as the internal parts are not waterproof.
It’s best to stay nearby. While the Pola 5030 will not overheat easily, it does not have an automatic shutoff. You need to manually stop it once your ice cream reaches the right consistency.
This model runs on 110V / 60Hz power. If you’re outside the US, check voltage compatibility. Using a step-down transformer is possible, but not always recommended by the manufacturer.
No. Once the batch is done, it’s best to transfer it immediately to a freezer-safe container. The machine is not designed for long-term storage and doesn’t maintain temperature once off.
Yes, it comes with a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. For extended coverage, some retailers offer protection plans at the time of purchase.
Absolutely. The Pola 5030 works well with coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk, and other non-dairy bases. Just make sure your mixture is properly chilled before pouring it in.
Yes, many small food businesses use the Pola 5030 to produce fresh ice cream, gelato, and sorbet. While it’s not a full industrial machine, it offers excellent capacity and speed for light commercial use.
Hello,
Please, I find myself in need of a replacement plastic spatula for my Pola 5030. How/where might I obtain one?
Thank You,
Steve
Hello Steve,
Thank you for your message. The original Musso replacement spatula is available on the Musso spare parts website (https://musso-spareparts.com/en/products/originele-ijs-spatel-schep-lepel-musso-ijsmachine). Availability may vary depending on the shipping region, so if you are viewing from the United States, it may show as unavailable even if it is in stock in other regions. If you are outside Europe, they explain that you can email them the item number and your full address details, and they can provide the package weight and dimensions so you can arrange shipping yourself through an international carrier such as DHL or DPD (https://musso-spareparts.com/en/pages/verzenden-naar-landen-buiten-europa).
If ordering the original part is difficult in your area, a few Musso owners have shared some practical substitutes that work well in the meantime. A rice paddle is one of the most common suggestions because it is close in shape and size to the original spoon and works well for scooping ice cream from the bowl. Some also recommend a concave silicone or rubber spatula because it follows the curve of the bowl better and helps scrape the ice cream out more cleanly. A wooden spoon or spatula has also been mentioned as a simple backup option. Although they are not official replacement parts, they may be helpful as a temporary solution until you can get the original one.
Thank you.
Hello,
I just got the Lello Musso Pola 5030 delivered from Amazon. The package is/was not damaged. I unpacked it and placed it on a granite counter. Here I realized, that only 3 knobs/feet touch the granite. The forth knob/foot is 4mm away from ground, without the possibility to adjust it. The machine is not standing safe, it wiggles. My question: Did the machine got damaged on the transport and I need to be worry?
Kind regards
Uwe
No, this is not normal. The machine should stand firmly on all four feet without wobbling. Please first confirm that the machine is resting fully on a clean, level surface and that no packaging material remains underneath it. You can also rotate the machine on the counter to check whether the same foot remains raised. If it does, please contact the seller through Amazon and send them a photo or short video. They can inspect the issue and advise you on the appropriate next step. We also recommend that you do not use the machine in this condition.
